This full-day excursion takes you to the impressive Ouzoud Falls, one of Morocco’s most popular and spectacular wonders and the second-highest waterfall in the country at 110 m, weaving in some of the region’s most scenic settings along the way: olive groves, Berber villages, the Tanaghmeilt viewpoints, the terraces and stalls, the footbridge, and the river at the base of the cascades. You explore the falls area, walk down past terraces to the mid-level lookouts and the base of the 110-metre cascades, take the small boat near the falls (optional), cross the footbridge for alternate views, browse local stalls, and watch Barbary macaques, before returning to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Every itinerary is fully customisable to suit your preferences and pace.
MARRAKECH -> OLIVE GROVES & BERBER VILLAGES -> OUZOUD (TANAGHMEILT) -> MARRAKECH
After an 08:00 pick-up from your riad/hotel, travel northeast through olive groves and Berber villages with a short comfort stop en route. Arrive around 10:45 at Ouzoud (Tanaghmeilt) for a brief orientation at the upper viewpoint, then walk down past terraces and stalls to mid-level lookouts and the base of the 110-metre cascades (steps/uneven paths in places).
Enjoy free time on your own from roughly 12:15 to 14:00 to take the small boat near the falls (optional), relax by the river, or choose a café for lunch (own expense).
After lunch, you have more free time to cross the footbridge for alternate views, browse local stalls, and watch Barbary macaques. If you prefer minimal walking, you can remain on the upper terrace area and still enjoy excellent views while the rest of the group explores. Regroup by 15:30 at the upper car park, then depart for Marrakech with a comfort stop on the way, arriving around 18:00–18:30 for drop-off at your accommodation.
